Klara Angawa is a modern viola player with a skillset that includes contempory music, western classical music as well as nordic folkmusic and improvisation. Angawas signature rich tone and stage pressence gives her the ability to capture a moment of sirenity and put the mind at ease. She has a truly origional sound.

As a composer Klara has since 2022 premiererd her pieces at multiple ocassions in Sweden as well as overseas. She takes inspiration from Swedish folk music and translates it to both classical corals and immersive digital music.

Though originally from Stockholm Klara is an alumna of the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, where she studied her Bachelors degree with Johanna Persson. She has also studied with Anna Reihle and Anders Noren -both members of Dalasymfoniettan-the at the Music Conservatory in Falun.

Klara has recently returned from South Africa, where she held a substitute position with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra during the autumn of 2025. In her musical work, she has a strong interest for contemporary music and frequently performs with the Gothenburg-based contemporary group Ensemble Hybrid. She also has a big interest in technology and runs the solo project Emerging Spaces, where she focuses on sound production in an immersive format.

As a chamber musician, Klara’s repertoire spans across genres, with the viola repertoire, rich in expression and depth, holding a particularly special place for her. She works as a freelance musician in Scandinavia as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player.
